India’s largest power producer, NTPC, has released the official notification for Engineering Executive Trainee (EET) Recruitment 2026, offering 515 direct vacancies for engineers across multiple disciplines. The recruitment will be conducted through GATE 2025 scores, and the online application process will begin on February 11, 2026.

Eligibility Criteria for NTPC EET 2026
To be eligible for the recruitment, candidates must meet the following conditions:
Educational Qualification
Applicants must hold a full-time Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology in the relevant discipline from a recognized university or institute.
GATE 2025 Score Mandatory
Only candidates who have appeared in GATE 2025 and possess a valid score in the corresponding engineering paper are eligible to apply.
Final-Year Students Eligible
Candidates currently in their final year of engineering may also apply, provided they meet all eligibility requirements at the time of joining.
Age Limit

Maximum age: 27 years for General category candidates

Age relaxation will be applicable for reserved categories as per government rules.

Salary and Pay Scale
Selected candidates will be appointed at the E1 Grade with a pay scale of:
₹40,000 – ₹1,40,000 per month
In addition to basic pay, candidates will be entitled to allowances and benefits as per NTPC norms after successful completion of training.
