New Delhi, February 12, 2026

The Indian Army has opened applications for the NCC Special Entry Scheme 124th Course, scheduled to commence in October 2026, providing NCC ‘C’ certificate holders a direct route to Short Service Commission without a written examination.

A total of 70 vacancies are available under this scheme, comprising 63 posts for NCC Men (General Reserve) and 7 reserved for wards of battle casualties. Selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend of ₹56,100 during training.

Eligibility requires candidates to hold a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) from a recognized university with minimum 50% aggregate marks. Applicants must have served 2-3 years in the NCC Senior Division/Wing and obtained at least a ‘B’ grade in the NCC ‘C’ certificate examination.

For the wards of battle casualties category, the NCC ‘C’ certificate is not mandatory, though the 50% graduation marks criterion applies.

Candidates must be aged 19-25 years, with date of birth between July 2, 2001, and July 1, 2007 (both dates inclusive).

The selection process will begin with shortlisting based on NCC ‘C’ certificate grading and academic performance, followed by Service Selection Board (SSB) interviews, medical examination, and preparation of a final merit list. The entire process is expected to conclude by the first week of May 2026.

Interested candidates can apply online through the official portal. Visit joinindianarmy.nic.in, click on ‘Officer Entry Apply/Login’, complete registration, verify email, log in, and select the NCC Special Entry Course option to fill and submit the application with personal, communication, and educational details.
