Mumbai , December 15, 2025 : Aditya Dhar’s high-octane espionage thriller Dhurandhar is rewriting the box office rulebook as it races toward a ₹446–₹450 crore worldwide gross, firmly placing itself among Bollywood’s elite blockbusters of 2025. Headlined by Ranveer Singh in what trade experts are calling a “career-reviving performance,” the film has shown extraordinary momentum just nine days into its theatrical run.

Released on December 5, Dhurandhar entered the coveted ₹300 crore India net club in record time, becoming the fastest Hindi film of 2025 to achieve the milestone. On its second Saturday (Day 9), the espionage action drama collected a staggering ₹53.70 crore net in India, registering massive growth and underlining its strong audience pull across metros and mass belts alike.

The film’s overseas performance has been equally impressive. International markets—particularly North America, the Middle East, and Australia—have contributed significantly, with trade reports confirming a record-breaking second Friday in North America, surpassing the benchmark previously set by Baahubali 2. Industry trackers now project Dhurandhar to close its second weekend just short of the ₹450 crore global mark.

Co-starring Arjun Rampal, Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, and a strong ensemble cast, Dhurandhar follows the gripping journey of an intelligence operative caught between national duty and deeply personal stakes. Analysts credit the film’s success to its tight screenplay, scale-driven action, and Ranveer Singh’s explosive screen presence.

With Dhurandhar currently ranking as the third-highest grossing Hindi film of 2025, behind Chhaava (₹805+ crore worldwide, led by Vicky Kaushal) and Saiyaara (₹570 crore), the film reinforces a clear industry trend—audiences are gravitating toward star-led, intense thrillers during the December window. The blockbuster run also signals a broader resurgence for Bollywood, echoing the success patterns seen with Animal and Pushpa 2 in previous years.
