New Delhi, India — February 5, 2026

India’s electric two-wheeler market has a new entrant as Omega Seiki Mobility (OSM) on Thursday launched its first fast-speed personal electric scooter, OSM Vextra, marking the company’s entry into the personal mobility segment.

The newly launched electric scooter offers a top speed of 70 km/h and a claimed real-world range of over 110 km on a single charge, with an introductory ex-showroom price below ₹1 lakh, positioning it as a value-focused option for urban commuters.

From Commercial EVs to Personal Mobility

Until now, Omega Seiki Mobility has primarily focused on commercial electric vehicles. With the launch of Vextra, the company is making a strategic shift toward personal electric mobility, targeting daily urban commuters and professional users seeking affordable performance-oriented EVs.

The company said the scooter has been designed keeping in mind users in metro cities as well as Tier-2 and Tier-3 markets, where demand for cost-effective and reliable electric mobility is growing rapidly.

Features and Performance Highlights

OSM Vextra comes equipped with a 3.5-inch color LCD display, providing real-time information such as state of charge and remaining range. Other key features include:

  • USB charging port

  • Reverse parking assist

  • Optional GSM connectivity

On the charging front, the scooter can be charged from 0 to 80% in around 4 hours, while a full charge takes approximately 5 hours.

Battery, Motor, and Riding Modes

The electric scooter is powered by a 3.45 kWh IP67-rated LMFP battery, paired with a 3 kW BLDC hub motor. It offers a gradeability of 12 degrees, making it suitable for flyovers and inclined urban roads.

Riders can choose from three riding modes:

  • Eco mode for maximum efficiency

  • City mode for everyday commuting

  • Sport mode for enhanced performance

Manufacturing and Sales Network

OSM Vextra will be manufactured at Omega Seiki Mobility’s Faridabad plant, which has an annual production capacity of 25,000 units. In addition to the Indian market, the scooter will also be exported to select African markets, expanding the company’s global footprint.

In India, the scooter will be sold through a dealer network of over 200 outlets, ensuring availability across Tier-1, Tier-2, and Tier-3 cities.

What the Company Says

Commenting on the launch, Uday Narang, Founder and Chairman of Omega Seiki Mobility, said the Vextra represents a balanced approach to performance and affordability.

“With OSM Vextra, we are entering the fast-speed two-wheeler segment. This scooter balances performance, range, and affordability. Our goal is to build technology-driven electric mobility not just for metros, but also for Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities,” Narang said.

Conclusion: A Strong Contender in Affordable EV Space

With a price under ₹1 lakh, 70 km/h top speed, 110 km-plus range, and practical features, OSM Vextra is shaping up as a strong contender in India’s urban electric scooter segment—especially in markets where affordable and dependable electric mobility is in high demand.
