Lexus has officially introduced the all-new Lexus TZ, marking the brand’s entry into the three-row luxury electric SUV segment. Designed around a “Driving Lounge” concept, the vehicle prioritizes comfort, space, and a premium in-cabin experience while delivering strong electric performance.

Positioned above the existing Lexus RZ in the lineup, the Lexus TZ is built to accommodate 6 to 7 passengers and targets families seeking both luxury and sustainability in an EV.

Striking Design With Aerodynamic Efficiency

The Lexus TZ showcases a modern, aerodynamic design tailored for electric mobility. Its front fascia features a closed-off grille, a signature element in EVs, paired with illuminated Lexus branding. Sharp C-shaped headlamps and L-shaped daytime running lights (DRLs) give the SUV a bold and futuristic presence.

Additional highlights include:

  • Flush door handles for improved airflow
  • 20-inch and 22-inch aero-optimized alloy wheels
  • Full-width rear LED light bar with “Lexus” branding

The SUV will be offered in 11 exterior color options, including a newly introduced Sonic Telos (khaki green) shade.

In terms of practicality, the TZ provides:

  • 290 liters of boot space with all three rows up
  • Expandable up to 2,017 liters with rear seats folded

Ultra-Quiet Cabin With Premium Lounge Comfort

Inside, the Lexus TZ delivers a refined, ultra-quiet cabin, which the company claims is its most silent interior yet. The “Driving Lounge” philosophy is evident through spacious seating and premium materials.

Key interior features include:

  • Second-row captain seats with heating, ventilation, and ottoman extension
  • Large touchscreen infotainment system
  • Digital driver display and head-up display
  • Panoramic sunroof

Luxury touches extend to:

  • 21-speaker Mark Levinson sound system
  • Ambient lighting system
  • Touch-sensitive illuminated controls

The SUV also emphasizes sustainability, using materials like:

  • Japanese bamboo trims
  • Bio-based UltraSuede upholstery

Safety is supported by:

  • Level-2 ADAS (Lexus Safety System+)
  • 360-degree camera system

Powerful Performance With Long Range and AWD Capability

Built on a dedicated EV platform, the Lexus TZ offers multiple battery configurations:

  • 76.96 kWh battery pack
  • 95.8 kWh battery pack

With the larger battery, the SUV delivers up to 530 km (WLTP) range on a single charge.

Performance highlights:

  • Dual-motor All-Wheel Drive (AWD) system
  • 408 horsepower output
  • 0–100 km/h acceleration in 5.4 seconds

Fast Charging and Advanced Energy Features

The Lexus TZ supports 150 kW DC fast charging, enabling:

  • 10% to 80% charge in approximately 35 minutes under optimal conditions

A standout feature is Vehicle-to-Home (V2H) capability, allowing the SUV to supply power to a home during emergencies or outages.

What It Means for the EV Market

With the launch of the Lexus TZ, Lexus strengthens its position in the premium EV space by entering the three-row electric SUV segment, a rapidly growing category globally. The model combines luxury, performance, and sustainability, aligning with the brand’s electrification roadmap.
