New Delhi, India — April 28, 2026
Auto component maker Motherson Sumi Wiring India Limited reported mixed financial results for the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2025–26, with strong revenue growth offset by margin pressure that kept profits largely flat.
The company posted a 1.4% year-on-year increase in net profit to ₹167.30 crore, compared with ₹164.9 crore in the same quarter last year.
Revenue Sees Strong Expansion
Motherson Sumi Wiring delivered robust top-line growth, with revenue from operations rising 32.9% to ₹3,334.6 crore, up from ₹2,509.5 crore a year earlier. The growth reflects strong demand across the automotive wiring harness segment.
Margins Under Pressure
Despite higher revenue, profitability remained under pressure due to rising costs.
- EBITDA grew marginally by 1% to ₹274 crore
- EBITDA margin declined to 8.2%, down from 10.8% last year
The contraction in margins highlights cost pressures impacting the company’s operating performance.
Dividend and Financial Strength
The board recommended a final dividend of ₹0.58 per share for FY26, subject to shareholder approval.
The company also crossed a major milestone, with full-year revenue exceeding ₹10,000 crore for the first time, reaching ₹11,477.58 crore.
Notably, Motherson Sumi Wiring continues to maintain a debt-free balance sheet, underscoring its strong financial position.
Market Reaction
Shares of Motherson Sumi Wiring declined following the results, falling 4.26% on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) to close at ₹39.35, as investors reacted to margin pressures despite strong revenue growth.
