Police said that a suspicious low-intensity explosion took place in Sector 10 of Chandigarh last night, damaging windows and flower pots in a residential area. According to police officials, the incident is being investigated, forensic teams are collecting evidence at the spot. They said that one person has been arrested in connection with the blast.
The police have announced a reward of Rs 2 lakh for information about the suspects. According to the police, the auto-rickshaw used by the accused person has been seized.
According to Chandigarh SSP Kanwardeep Kaur, the explosion took place around 6 pm, damaging windows and flower pots in the residential area. The CFSL team has arrived and all evidence is being collected. The SSP said that the complainant told that he saw two people near the house, who were allegedly throwing grenades at the spot. He said, the complainant has said that 2 suspicious people came in an auto and threw the grenade. The complainant saw them. Teams are searching for them.
