RSS Annual Prant Pracharak Meeting Begins in Karnataka, Focus on Expansion and National Issues

RSS Annual Prant Pracharak Meeting commenced on Friday morning in Belagavi, Karnataka, bringing together the top leadership of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) for a comprehensive review of the organization’s activities, future expansion strategy, and discussions on key national issues.

According to the RSS, the multi-day meeting will focus on strengthening the organization’s grassroots network, reviewing training programs conducted over the past year, and finalizing plans for the remaining events scheduled during the RSS centenary year.

Top RSS Leadership Participates

The meeting is being attended by the organization’s senior leadership, including:

  • Dr. Mohan Bhagwat, Sarsanghchalak (Chief of the RSS)
  • Dattatreya Hosabale, Sarkaryavah (General Secretary)
  • All Sah Sarkaryavahs (Joint General Secretaries)
  • Heads and co-heads of various national functional departments
  • Members of the national executive
  • Regional Pracharaks and Assistant Regional Pracharaks
  • Pracharaks and Assistant Pracharaks from all 46 RSS provinces across India
  • National organizational secretaries of various RSS-inspired organizations

The participation of senior office-bearers from across the country underscores the importance of the annual strategy meeting.

Review of Organizational Expansion

One of the primary agenda items is the review of the RSS’s organizational growth during its centenary year.

The leadership will assess:

  • Expansion of RSS shakhas (daily branches)
  • Progress of grassroots organizational activities
  • Implementation of expansion plans at the local level
  • Membership outreach initiatives
  • Future strategies to establish more shakhas across the country

Officials are expected to evaluate the effectiveness of current expansion efforts and identify areas for further growth.

The meeting will also review reports from various RSS training camps and educational programs organized after March 2026.

Senior leaders will review completed events and finalize plans for the remaining programs scheduled until October 20, 2026 (Vijayadashami).

The meeting will also consider the travel schedule of RSS chief Dr. Mohan Bhagwat for 2026–27, including his planned visits across different regions of the country.

National Issues Expected to Be Discussed

According to RSS sources, the meeting will also include deliberations on several current national issues.

Among the topics expected to be discussed are:

  • The proposed caste census
  • Social awareness initiatives
  • Current national developments
  • Organizational outreach on issues affecting society

The discussions are expected to focus on understanding these issues from the organization’s perspective and planning future awareness efforts.

Ram Temple Issue May Also Be Discussed

Sources familiar with the meeting said that issues related to the Ram Temple could also come up during internal discussions.

However, RSS officials have indicated that the subject is not part of the officially announced agenda, and no formal confirmation has been provided regarding its inclusion in the proceedings.

Meeting to Shape Future Organizational Strategy

The Annual Prant Pracharak Meeting is regarded as one of the RSS’s most significant internal gatherings, as it serves as a platform for reviewing organizational performance and setting priorities for the coming year.
