Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh has reportedly received a threatening WhatsApp voice note from an unknown individual, in which the sender allegedly demanded a large sum of money. The development comes at a time when the actor is in the spotlight for the upcoming release of Dhurandhar 2.
According to officials, the threat was promptly reported, following which Mumbai Police initiated an investigation.
🚨 Police Launch Investigation, Security Tightened
Mumbai Police confirmed that the voice note was received shortly after a recent shooting incident outside the residence of filmmaker Rohit Shetty. Authorities stated that the message included extortion demands running into crores of rupees.
As a precautionary measure, police have increased security outside Ranveer Singh’s residence and are actively working to trace the origin of the voice note.
Officials said technical teams are analyzing the audio and digital trail to identify the sender.

Following the threat, Ranveer Singh’s team informed law enforcement authorities. Police personnel have since been deployed near the actor’s home, and routine monitoring has been intensified.
Sources indicated that no harm has been reported, and the actor is cooperating fully with the investigation.
🔫 Firing Incident Outside Rohit Shetty’s Home
The threat comes days after a firing incident outside Rohit Shetty’s residence in Juhu, Mumbai, late on January 31. According to police, five rounds were fired outside the filmmaker’s house while he was present inside.
No injuries were reported in the incident, and Mumbai Police are continuing their investigation into the shooting as well.
