New Delhi, India – February 12, 2026

The Delhi High Court on Thursday adjourned the hearing on Bollywood actor Rajpal Yadav’s bail plea in a cheque bounce case until Monday, February 16.

After hearing arguments from both sides, the court deferred further proceedings and directed the complainant to file a formal response to the bail application before the next hearing.

Court Seeks Response from Complainant

According to legal reporting platform Bar & Bench, the court emphasized that the complainant must submit a reply addressing the bail plea.

During the proceedings, the bench observed that it had already granted the actor more than two dozen opportunities in the matter. The court also noted that the complainant had earlier challenged a previous order before the Supreme Court of India but did not receive relief.

“When I reviewed the file, I came across several aspects that were not previously brought to our attention,” the court remarked, adding that the issue would now be taken up in detail on February 16.

Next Hearing on February 16

The case will now be heard again on Monday, February 16. The court is expected to examine the complainant’s response and continue arguments on the bail application.

The matter relates to alleged cheque dishonor proceedings under applicable financial laws. Further developments are anticipated after the next hearing.
