Mega Health Camp Held in Dilshad Garden During Women’s Day Month
A Mega Health Camp and Awareness Program was successfully organized in Kalandar Colony, Dilshad Garden, East Delhi, by Sadhan Foundation in collaboration with the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) as part of the ongoing Women’s Day Month initiatives.
The event aimed to improve healthcare access and spread awareness about important health issues among women and residents living in the area.
Free Medical Services Provided to Local Residents
During the health camp, women and local citizens received free medical consultations, medicines, HIV testing, blood sugar testing, and blood pressure checkups.
In addition, Ayushman Bharat health cards were also issued to eligible beneficiaries, helping them access government healthcare schemes.
The camp witnessed a positive response from the community, with 146 beneficiaries receiving healthcare services and health awareness support.
Awareness on Women’s Health and Hygiene
A special awareness session was conducted for women aged 18 and above, focusing on important health topics such as menstrual hygiene, breast cancer awareness, and HIV prevention.
As part of the initiative, sanitary pads were distributed to promote better menstrual health and hygiene among women in the community.
Focus on Women’s Empowerment and Community Health
Speaking on the occasion, Ashok Kumar, Founder of Sadhan Foundation, said the organization plans to launch special projects aimed at improving the health and empowerment of women, particularly those living in underprivileged or slum areas.
He emphasized that such initiatives can help ensure direct healthcare benefits and awareness for vulnerable communities.
Importance of Health Awareness Programs
Dr. Rashmi Gupta, General Secretary of Sadhan Foundation, highlighted the significance of organizing health camps during the Women’s Day month.
She noted that awareness programs and medical outreach activities play an important role in promoting preventive healthcare and early diagnosis of health issues among women.
Legal Awareness Support by DLSA
The program also saw the presence of Kamta Prasad from DLSA North East Delhi, whose participation added value to the awareness efforts.
Advocates associated with DLSA informed women about their legal rights and available legal aid services, helping spread awareness about access to justice and protection under the law.
Contribution of Volunteers and Students
The event also received support from SS Moral Education and Training Institute. Volunteers including Seema Singh and paramedical students Aditya, Saloni, Raj Kohli, Mahek, and Ramesh Lal played an active role in organizing and conducting the camp.
Their contribution was instrumental in ensuring the smooth execution of the event and assisting healthcare professionals during the medical checkups.

Sadhan Foundation announced that it will continue organizing health camps, awareness drives, and women empowerment initiatives in the future to support communities in need.
