Viral ‘Jailer 2’ Clip Triggers Industry Concern
A fresh piracy controversy has hit the Tamil film industry as a video clip allegedly from the sets of Jailer 2, starring Rajinikanth, surfaced online and spread rapidly across social media platforms.
The development comes just days after the leak controversy surrounding Jana Nayagan, intensifying concerns over content security in big-budget productions.
Sun Pictures Issues Strict Warning
Production house Sun Pictures confirmed the leak and responded with a firm statement, warning users against sharing or reposting the unauthorized footage.
According to the studio, its anti-piracy team is actively monitoring the situation and taking steps to remove the clip. The company also indicated that accounts involved in distributing or promoting the leaked content could face strict action, including suspension.
The statement urged media outlets and fan communities to refrain from circulating the video, emphasizing that the production house will not be responsible for any penalties faced by violators.
Appeal to Fans Amid Viral Spread
Despite efforts to contain the leak, the clip had already gained traction online, with several users sharing it before takedown measures began.
Sun Pictures appealed directly to fans, asking them to cooperate by not engaging with pirated material. The studio stressed that such leaks harm the film’s production and violate intellectual property rights.
