Dhurandhar 2 and Dacoit Box Office Clash 2026

Mumbai, India — April 11, 2026

The Indian box office witnessed a fresh clash on April 10 as the romantic action drama Dacoit entered theaters, challenging the dominance of Dhurandhar 2, which is currently in its fourth week but continues to deliver strong numbers.

Despite new competition, Dhurandhar 2 maintained a narrow lead, signaling its sustained popularity among audiences even after crossing major milestones.

Dacoit Opens With Moderate Numbers

Starring Adivi Sesh and Mrunal Thakur, Dacoit blends romance with action elements. The film received mixed reviews from critics upon release.

According to early estimates, Dacoit collected approximately ₹6.50 crore on its opening day (Friday). With a reported production budget in the range of ₹70–80 crore, the film’s start is considered average by trade analysts.

Industry observers note that the film’s performance over the weekend will be crucial in determining its long-term trajectory.

Dhurandhar 2 Continues Strong Run

Meanwhile, Dhurandhar 2, starring Ranveer Singh, remains a box office powerhouse. The film has already crossed the ₹1,000 crore mark globally, cementing its blockbuster status.

However, the impact of new releases is beginning to show. The film recorded a gradual dip in earnings over the past few days:

  • Thursday Collection: ₹7.15 crore
  • Friday (Day 23) Collection: ₹6.70 crore

The film’s total net collection now stands at ₹1,055.19 crore.

Close Battle at the Box Office

On Friday, Dhurandhar 2 managed to stay slightly ahead of Dacoit, earning ₹6.70 crore compared to ₹6.50 crore by the new release.

While the margin remains minimal, trade experts suggest that the real impact of Dacoit on Dhurandhar 2 will become clearer over the weekend, when audience turnout typically increases.

Hollywood Entry Adds Competition

Adding to the competition is the Hollywood film Project Hail Mary, which continues to attract Indian audiences.

The film showed growth in collections:

  • Thursday (Day 15): ₹1.60 crore
  • Friday (Day 16): ₹1.85 crore

Its total India collection has reached ₹46.72 crore, while global earnings have reportedly surpassed ₹4,000 crore.

Outlook

With multiple films competing across genres, the Indian box office is entering a dynamic phase. While Dhurandhar 2 continues to dominate, Dacoit has shown potential with its opening performance.

The weekend numbers will play a decisive role in shaping the box office trajectory for both films.
