Dhurandhar 2 Crosses ₹1,041 Cr, Eyes Pushpa 2 Record

Mumbai, India — April 9, 2026

The Dhurandhar: The Revenge, starring Ranveer Singh, has emerged as one of the biggest box office successes in Indian cinema history. The film has now crossed ₹1,041.30 crore in domestic net collections, becoming the second-highest grossing Indian film.

Directed by Aditya Dhar, the sequel has outperformed its predecessor and continues its strong theatrical run.

Daily and Weekly Box Office Performance

The film opened with a massive ₹102.55 crore on its first day and maintained strong momentum:

  • Week 1: ₹674.17 crore
  • Week 2: ₹263.65 crore
  • Week 3: ₹103.48 crore
  • Day 21 (Wednesday): ₹7.90 crore

Despite a slight dip in daily earnings, the film continues to dominate the box office with consistent collections.

Surpasses Baahubali 2, Targets Pushpa 2

With its current total, Dhurandhar 2 has surpassed Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, which had a domestic net collection of ₹1,030.42 crore.

The only film ahead now is Pushpa 2: The Rule, starring Allu Arjun, which holds the top position with ₹1,234.10 crore in India.

Industry observers say that if the current trend continues, Dhurandhar 2 could challenge Pushpa 2’s record in the coming weeks.

Global Box Office Dominance

Beyond India, the film has also performed exceptionally well worldwide, earning approximately ₹1,653.67 crore in global gross collections.

This strong international performance further cements its position among the biggest Indian films globally.

Upcoming Competition: Dacoit Release

So far, no major release has significantly impacted Dhurandhar 2’s box office run. However, the upcoming film Dacoit, starring Adivi Sesh and Mrunal Thakur, is set to release on April 10.

Trade analysts will closely watch whether the new release affects Dhurandhar 2’s collections.

Hollywood Film ‘Project Hail Mary’ Performance

Meanwhile, Hollywood film Project Hail Mary, which released in India on March 26, is steadily growing at the box office.

  • Wednesday Collection: ₹1.70 crore
  • India Total: ₹43.21 crore
  • Worldwide Gross: ₹4,050 crore

The film is approaching the ₹50 crore mark in India, showing steady audience interest.

Race for the Top Intensifies

As Dhurandhar 2 continues its strong run, all eyes are now on whether it can surpass Pushpa 2 to become the highest-grossing Indian film of all time.

The coming weeks, along with new releases, will play a crucial role in determining its final box office standing.
