New Delhi — : The sun is turning fierce again in Delhi, and this time, it means business. After a cool start to June, the heat is making a strong comeback. The next five days will bring extreme heat, with temperatures expected to go above 43°C by next week.
According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), the capital will see intense heat during the day and sweaty nights due to a rise in both maximum and minimum temperatures. There is no chance of rain or cool breeze until at least June 12. After that, pre-monsoon showers might pick up slightly, but there’s still no full relief in sight.
☀️How the Heat is Rising in Delhi:
From June 1 to June 6, the city had not crossed 40°C. But that’s changing quickly:
June 3: 33.1°C
June 4: 34.6°C
June 6 (Thursday): 37°C
June 7 (Friday): 38.2°C max, 25.6°C min
The skies are now clear, and the sun is hitting the ground directly. This will cause a rapid spike in temperatures starting Saturday.
🔍Heat Forecast for Delhi (Next 5 Days):
June 8: 40–42°C
June 9: 41–43°C
June 10–11: 42–44°C
June 12: 41–43°C
Minimum temps: Likely between 26–29°C
The sunrise on June 8 will be at 5:23 AM and sunset at 7:18 PM. People are advised to stay indoors during peak afternoon hours and drink plenty of fluids.
Delhi’s weather is set to remain unbearably hot till at least mid-June. The pre-monsoon system may begin to form around then, potentially bringing some relief. The monsoon, as per IMD signals, might arrive earlier than usual this year.
