MUMBAI, India — June 17, 2026

Tuesday Box Office Report: The Indian box office witnessed another eventful day as blockbuster performer “Peddi” continued its impressive theatrical run, while several newly released films fought to maintain momentum during the crucial weekday period.

Leading the race is Peddi, starring Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor, which is rapidly approaching the coveted ₹250 crore milestone. Meanwhile, Main Wapas Aaunga has managed to hold steady despite weekday pressure and has emerged ahead of Bharat Bhagya Vidhata in the current box office battle.

‘Peddi’ Marches Toward the ₹250 Crore Club

The biggest winner at the box office remains Peddi, which continues to attract audiences nearly two weeks after its release.

After posting impressive weekend numbers, the film has remained resilient during weekdays. On its 13th day in theaters, the movie collected an estimated ₹3.45 crore net on Tuesday. Although slightly lower than Monday’s ₹4.10 crore haul, the film continues to perform at a level most releases struggle to achieve in their second week.

With a cumulative domestic net collection of ₹223.55 crore, Peddi is now within striking distance of the ₹250 crore benchmark, further cementing its status as one of the year’s biggest commercial successes.

‘Main Wapas Aaunga’ Holds Firm

Directed by Imtiaz Ali, Main Wapas Aaunga delivered a respectable weekday performance on Tuesday.

The film earned ₹1.65 crore net on its fifth day, improving upon Monday’s ₹1.15 crore collection. While the post-weekend decline was expected, the latest figures suggest the film is maintaining a steady hold among moviegoers.

Featuring Diljit Dosanjh, Naseeruddin Shah, Vedang Raina and Sharvari, the film has now accumulated an estimated ₹8.30 crore net in five days.

‘Bharat Bhagya Vidhata’ Struggles Despite Positive Reviews

Despite receiving favorable critical feedback, Bharat Bhagya Vidhata has yet to translate praise into strong ticket sales.

The film, headlined by Kangana Ranaut, collected ₹65 lakh on Tuesday, matching its Monday earnings. Released on June 12, the film is based on the backdrop of the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks.

Its box office journey so far includes:

  • Opening Day: ₹1.00 crore
  • Saturday: ₹1.45 crore
  • Sunday: ₹1.80 crore
  • Monday: ₹65 lakh
  • Tuesday: ₹65 lakh

The film’s total domestic net collection now stands at ₹5.55 crore.

‘Governor’ Continues to Face Challenges

Another June 12 release, Governor, has struggled to gain momentum at the box office.

Starring Manoj Bajpayee and directed by Chinmay Mandlekar, the film explores India’s 1991 economic crisis.

On its fifth day, Governor collected only ₹46 lakh, slightly lower than Monday’s ₹50 lakh. Its total domestic net collection after five days stands at ₹4.41 crore.

‘Haunted 3D: Echoes of the Past’ Emerges as Surprise Performer

Among the films released on June 12, horror title Haunted 3D: Echoes of the Past continues to deliver the strongest weekday performance.

According to industry estimates, the film earned ₹2 crore on Tuesday, matching its Monday collection. The steady numbers indicate positive audience interest and strong word-of-mouth support.

The film’s cumulative box office collection has now reached ₹13.35 crore, placing it comfortably ahead of several competing releases from the same week.

‘Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai’ Nears ₹50 Crore Milestone

Romantic entertainer Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai, starring Varun Dhawan, Mrunal Thakur and Pooja Hegde, remains in theaters but has yet to cross the ₹50 crore mark.

On its 12th day, the film added ₹1.35 crore to its tally, taking its total domestic net collection to ₹47.50 crore.

Industry analysts expect the film to enter the ₹50 crore club within the next few days if it continues to maintain its current pace.
