The box office momentum of Bhooth Bangla appears to be slowing down midweek, as early estimates for Day 6 indicate a noticeable dip in collections following a strong opening weekend.

According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the Akshay Kumar-starrer earned approximately ₹3.74 crore on Wednesday, marking a decline compared to its earlier weekday performance. However, late-night figures could push the total slightly higher.

Despite the midweek slowdown, the film has maintained a steady run overall. Within six days of release, Bhooth Bangla has amassed an estimated ₹76.49 crore at the domestic box office.

Midweek Drop After Strong Weekend

The horror-comedy, directed by Priyadarshan, opened on a strong note and benefited significantly from weekend footfall. However, like most theatrical releases, collections dipped once the weekdays began.

📊 Day-wise Box Office Breakdown:

  • Paid previews: ₹3.75 crore
  • Day 1 (Friday): ₹12.25 crore
  • Day 2 (Saturday): ₹19 crore
  • Day 3 (Sunday): ₹23 crore
  • Day 4 (Monday): ₹6.75 crore
  • Day 5 (Tuesday): ₹8 crore
  • Day 6 (Wednesday): ₹3.74 crore* (early estimates)

The sharp contrast between weekend and weekday numbers highlights a typical trend in theatrical performance, though the film continues to hold ground with consistent footfall.

Outperforming Competing Releases

Currently, Bhooth Bangla is running alongside films like Dhurandhar 2 and Dakuait.

  • Dhurandhar 2 collected around ₹1.01 crore on its 35th day, taking its lifetime total to ₹1120.40 crore.
  • Meanwhile, Dakuait, starring Adivi Sesh and Mrunal Thakur, earned ₹28 lakh on Wednesday, with a total of ₹33.37 crore in 14 days.

In comparison, Bhooth Bangla continues to dominate among newer releases despite the weekday slowdown.

Star Cast and Storyline

Apart from Akshay Kumar, the film features a strong ensemble cast including Wamiqa Gabbi, Tabu, Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Mithila Palkar, and Asrani.

The film marks the reunion of Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan after 14 years, adding to audience anticipation.

The storyline follows Arjun, played by Akshay Kumar, who returns from London to his ancestral mansion for his sister’s wedding. What begins as a family gathering soon spirals into a series of eerie incidents, uncovering hidden secrets and supernatural mysteries within the mansion.
