Donald Trump’s victory has created fear among 48 lakh Indians, they may lose their citizenship, may be deported to India

New York – The US presidential elections are over and Donald Trump has registered a spectacular victory. He defeated Kamala Harris in a spectacular manner and now his supporters are very excited. After Trump’s victory, there is now a discussion on what big steps he will take after winning. The biggest claim is about citizenship in America. It is being said that the rules regarding citizenship in America can change. In fact, during his election campaign, he had raised many questions about US citizenship. Trump had said that the rules for getting US citizenship should be changed. If this happens, then 48 lakh Indians may lose citizenship and they can be deported back to India.

If the rules are changed

It is being claimed that if the rules are changed, then only the children of those who are US citizens or have a green card will get citizenship. According to a media report, when the US census was conducted in 2022, 48 lakh people of Indian origin were living in America at that time. It is claimed that 34 percent of them are born in America itself. That is, there are about 16 lakh people who are born in America and are of Indian origin. Many of these are those whose parents are not American citizens and they do not even have a green card.

Indians are afraid

It has also been said on the official website of the Trump Wins campaign that a proposal will be signed on the very first day of the new government. As soon as this proposal is passed, those children whose parents are not American citizens will not be able to get citizenship automatically. Till now, there is a rule in America that a child who is born in America, no matter which country his parents belong to, will automatically get American citizenship. Trump wants to change this rule. This rule will also affect those people who are of Indian origin living in America. There are about 48 lakh Indians living in America. Till now everyone was sure that their children will get American citizenship easily, but if Trump passes this proposal and changes the rules regarding citizenship, then it will become difficult for the children of lakhs of Indians living there to get citizenship.

Many rules can be changed including visa

If Trump passes the new rule and changes the rules regarding citizenship, then such lakhs of people will not be able to get American citizenship. They may have to struggle a lot to get citizenship. Apart from this, rules can also be changed regarding A1B visa. A1B visa is for those people who come to America from other countries to work. A1B visa is issued for professionals in America. It is available for 3 years, but it can also be extended later.
