President Droupadi Murmu has approved the schedule for the Winter Session of Parliament, which will convene from December 1 to December 19, 2025, officials confirmed on Friday.
The 19-day session is expected to feature intense debates and crucial legislative business, as the government looks to push through pending bills amid heightened political polarization.
Union Minister Kiren Rijiju welcomed the announcement, expressing optimism that both Houses will engage in “constructive and democratic deliberations” despite the charged political climate.
“We hope for a positive, issue-focused session that strengthens India’s democracy,” Rijiju said in a post on X (formerly Twitter).
