SDPI leaders said RSS is a ‘terrorist’ organization
Reacting angrily to the recent raids on leaders and offices of Popular Front of India (PFI) and Social Democratic Party of India by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) in Karnataka and other states, state SDPI leaders said the Rashtriya Swayamsevak The Sangh is a ‘terrorist’ organization and questioned why there was no raid on the RSS.
Addressing the media , SDPI General Secretary Bhaskar Prasad said, “RSS is a terrorist organization and it is not yet officially given the status of an organization, RSS leaders have laid many weapons against those who raise their voice.”
“SDPI is not involved in a single act which is against the nation. 98 per cent cases registered against SDPI have been quashed by the courts. The name of RSS has come up in connection with Malegaon blast and other blasts. BJP misusing power. and is trying to suppress the opposition.”
“Congress is extending its support to BJP for banning SDPI. SDPI party is working towards preventing BJP from making ‘Manuwadi Bharat’. During ‘Ayudha Puja’, RSS workers worship sword, knife. Women are being trained by the RSS in the use of guns and other weapons. This was disclosed by Mohan Bhagwat himself.”
Prasad said, “Why is the NIA not raiding RSS leaders and offices? The central government has put a strap around the neck of the NIA which is taking care of it. Former Union Home Minister P. Chidambaram started the NIA. But, many times they have disclosed that the NIA has lost direction.”
Devanur Puttanjaiah, senior leader of SDPI said, “SDPI and PFI have not talked about religion anywhere. SDPI raised voice in the country. The country is in danger. When the corona pandemic was at its peak, no one could lay dead bodies. Didn’t come forward to touch him. Then SDPI workers performed his last rites.” PLC/GT
