New Delhi — : Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge launched a scathing attack on the central government as the Modi government completed 11 years in power. Taking to social media on Sunday, Kharge accused the BJP-led NDA of turning the promise of “Achhe Din” into a “national nightmare” and alleged that India has seen economic and social regression since 26 May 2014, when PM Narendra Modi first took office.
Kharge’s post criticized the government for failing on multiple fronts, including youth employment, farmers’ income, women’s safety, and social justice. He claimed that most of the grand promises made by the Modi government over the past decade have proven “hollow.”

The Congress President questioned the BJP’s poll promise of two crore jobs per year, alleging that not only were the jobs not created, but crores of employment opportunities have vanished. Referring to farmers’ issues, he said that the promise of doubling farmer income remains unfulfilled, while rubber bullets were used on those demanding their rights.
Kharge also alleged that women’s reservation has been implemented with political caveats and women’s safety remains a major concern. He accused the government of neglecting backward classes, stating that “even their rightful share has been lost somewhere.”
