New Delhi : The Narendra Modi government has allocated a historic ₹9,959 crore to Rajasthan’s railway sector, the largest budget ever for the state. This funding will modernize 85 railway stations and enhance infrastructure and security.
Rajasthan has also got a big gift in the first budget of the third term of the Narendra Modi government presented by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Tuesday. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has given information in this regard. He has disclosed in the PC about the provisions made for the Indian Railways in the budget presented by the Finance Minister.
Focus on infrastructure in Rajasthan
Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav informed in this regard that the Narendra Modi government at the Center has allocated a railway budget of Rs 9959 crore to Rajasthan in the budget. Through this budget, along with expansion of rail passenger facilities in Rajasthan, focus will be on security and infrastructure.
This is the highest budget so far for the state
Railway Minister Vaishnav in the Narendra Modi government informed that from 2009-14, Rajasthan used to get an average of Rs 682 crore every year. Now Rs 9959 crore has been allocated for the state by the Central Government. This is the highest budget so far for the state. He said that 85 stations in Rajasthan are being made state-of-the-art under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme.
