Middle East – : A fresh wave of Iranian missile attacks tore through the skies over Israel and the West Bank early on June 21, pushing the Israel-Iran aerial conflict into its ninth consecutive day. Israeli cities were rocked by air raid sirens as the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) launched countermeasures against incoming threats. Iran’s missiles have increasingly landed in residential areas, heightening fears among civilians and intensifying military operations on both sides.
The overnight assault followed another round of Israeli airstrikes targeting Iranian nuclear and missile infrastructure. While the IDF has intensified its focus on crippling Iran’s strategic capabilities, Tehran responded swiftly, asserting that as long as Israeli bombardments continue, there will be no negotiations over its nuclear program. On Saturday, Iranian missiles were visually confirmed over multiple regions of the West Bank, deepening the regional volatility.
The hostilities, now more than a week old, show no sign of slowing. The decades-long animosity between the two nations has entered a dangerously unpredictable phase. Russian President Vladimir Putin and China have voiced strong support for Iran, while the United States has remained strategically silent, refraining from disclosing any imminent military intentions. However, former President Donald Trump convened a high-level meeting at the White House and revealed that a decision on Iran is coming soon.
Tensions spiked further after Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi issued a stark warning to Washington, stating that if the United States joins Israel in the conflict, the consequences would be catastrophic and no country would be immune to the fallout. Trump has hinted at potential American involvement in support of Israel, a move Tehran called “deeply unfortunate” and a step toward all-out regional destabilization.
As the world watches closely, the Middle East edges closer to a full-scale war, driven by escalating missile exchanges, mounting global alliances, and rising political rhetoric from all sides.
