Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Maldivian President Mohamed Muizzu witnessed the first-ever RuPay card transaction, heralding the commencement of a new chapter in bilateral financial connectivity. As the world’s largest democracy and its close island neighbor work together to boost economic ties, this historic event signals more than just a transactional milestone—it’s an affirmation of India’s commitment to supporting the Maldives’ economic development.
The Role of RuPay Card in Bilateral Financial Cooperation
