On the other hand, alert has also been issued in Jammu, Himachal and Uttarakhand. On the second day of arrival of monsoon in Delhi, heavy rain occurred in many areas late night. After the rain, there has also been a drop in the temperature. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of rain for four to five days in East-Central, North-West and Western India. Delhi may also receive light to moderate rainfall for five days. On Tuesday, the Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for Delhi. This means that there could be moderate rainfall on Tuesday.
According to India Meteorological Department, Yellow Alert has been issued in Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram and Wayanad districts on Tuesday. While an ‘Orange’ alert has been issued for Tuesday in Idukki district.
For Tuesday (June 27) in Uttarakhand, the department has issued a yellow alert for some areas. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain in these areas. According to Bikram Singh, director of the Meteorological Center, there is a possibility of rain in most areas for the next four days.
Dehradun, Nainital, Pauri, Tehri, Champawat, Haridwar, Bageshwar and Pithoragarh may receive heavy rainfall today. Orange alert has been issued regarding this. In other districts, there may be intense showers with thunder and lightning at some places. ( PLC/GT )
