Heat Wave Alert: IMD Warns of Prolonged Scorching Conditions in North-West India

The scorching heat and heat wave has left people in distress all across North India. The heat waves have thrown life out of gear. Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department issued a news bulletin on Saturday afternoon. According to IMD, during the next five days, heat wave will scorch people in the plains of North-West India, that is, people will not get relief from heat wave in the coming days.

Along with this, the Meteorological Department has said that heat wave conditions may continue in East-Central India during the next three days. IMD predicted that heavy rainfall is likely to continue in South India till May 23. Also, heavy rain is expected during May 19-21.

It is predicted that the Southwest Monsoon is likely to advance into South Andaman Sea, parts of southeast Bay of Bengal and Nicobar Islands around May 19. The weather department has warned of heavy rains in Rajasthan, Haryana, Punjab, Chandigarh, Delhi, There is a possibility of severe heat wave in some parts of West-Eastern Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar and Gujarat.

IMD has further said that there is a possibility of heat wave to severe heat wave (heat wave) at some places in Agra, Baghpat, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Ghaziabad and Mathura during the next 24 to 48 hours. The department has issued warnings in different areas of Odisha. There is also a possibility of heat wave.
