Mumbai, India — April 3, 2026

Dhurandhar 2 continues its dominant run at the Indian box office, maintaining strong momentum into its third week and moving steadily toward the ₹1,000 crore milestone.

The film, directed by Aditya Dhar, opened to a record-breaking ₹100 crore-plus debut and sustained its pace through the first week, collecting ₹674.17 crore domestically.

On Day 15 (Thursday), the film added ₹17.80 crore, taking its total India net collection to ₹937.32 crore. Trade estimates indicate the film is well-positioned to cross ₹1,000 crore over the weekend, barring a sharp drop in occupancy.

Globally, the film has already grossed ₹1,492.17 crore, consolidating its position as one of the top-performing Indian releases of the year.

Closing the Gap With ‘Pushpa 2’

With its sustained box office strength, ‘Dhurandhar 2’ is now within striking distance of Pushpa 2, which currently leads with a worldwide total of ₹1,742.10 crore. Analysts note that continued weekend traction will be critical if it is to challenge that benchmark.

‘Project Hail Mary’ Records Modest Performance in India

In comparison, Hollywood sci-fi release Project Hail Mary has delivered a relatively muted performance in the Indian market.

Starring Ryan Gosling, the film collected ₹2.55 crore on Thursday, bringing its cumulative India total to ₹24.70 crore since its March 26 release.

Despite international anticipation, the film has yet to gain significant traction with Indian audiences.

‘Ustaad Bhagat Singh’ Struggles to Hold Ground

Meanwhile, Telugu-language release Ustaad Bhagat Singh, featuring Pawan Kalyan, continues to underperform amid intense competition.

The film earned ₹45 lakh on Thursday, taking its total collection to ₹71.46 crore since its March 19 release. Its limited language reach and competition from a dominant Hindi release have impacted its overall box office trajectory.
