The film was released in theaters on January 23, 2026, and received a strong response from audiences across India.
According to reports cited by OTT-focused platforms, Border 2 is expected to begin streaming on Netflix from March 20, 2026. If confirmed, the digital release would come roughly two months after its theatrical debut.
However, the makers have not yet issued an official announcement regarding the OTT release date.
Once available on Netflix, viewers will be able to watch the film from home, adding to the growing trend of major Bollywood releases arriving on streaming platforms shortly after their theatrical runs.
Box Office Performance of ‘Border 2’
Border 2 is the sequel to the iconic 1997 war film Border, originally directed by J. P. Dutta.
According to industry tracking platform reports, the sequel has performed strongly at the global box office, collecting approximately ₹449.65 crore worldwide.
The film also features performances from Sonam Bajwa, Medha Rana, Mona Singh, and Ananya Singh, who play important supporting roles in the story.
Sunny Deol’s Upcoming Projects
Meanwhile, Sunny Deol has several projects lined up after the success of Border 2. He is expected to appear in the historical drama Lahore 1947.
The actor will also be part of Ramayana: Part 1, starring Ranbir Kapoor in the lead role.
Another upcoming project, Ikka, is also expected to release directly on Netflix.
