Border 2 Box Office Update: Collections Stabilize After Sharp Weekend Drop
The box office run of Border 2, starring Sunny Deol, has entered a slower phase after a strong opening and a massive weekend haul.
On its 12th day (Tuesday), the film collected ₹5.75 crore, matching its Monday earnings, indicating a stabilization at lower weekday levels following a sharp post-weekend decline.
Weekend Peak Followed by Expected Dip
The film witnessed a significant drop after Sunday, when it recorded an impressive ₹22.5 crore at the Indian box office. Trade analysts note that such a decline is typical after a big weekend, especially for large-scale commercial releases.
Despite the slowdown, Border 2 continues to draw audiences in select mass circuits, aided by nostalgia and Sunny Deol’s strong fan base.
Total Box Office Collection So Far
According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the film’s total India box office collection now stands at ₹286.75 crore.
However, on Monday, the film’s makers claimed that Border 2 has already crossed the ₹300 crore mark domestically. As of now, trade estimates and official figures show a gap between producer claims and independent tracking data.
What Lies Ahead for Border 2
With weekday collections stabilizing below ₹6 crore, the film’s performance in the coming days will depend on:
Sustained occupancy in single-screen theaters
Word-of-mouth in mass belts
Upcoming competition from new releases
Industry observers believe that while Border 2 may face challenges in maintaining momentum, it remains one of the highest-grossing Hindi films of the year so far.
