Border 2, one of India’s most anticipated war dramas of 2026, is off to a thunderous start. Advance booking opened on Monday, and within hours, the Sunny Deol-led film witnessed exceptional demand across top national cinema chains.
According to early trade estimates, more than 135,000 tickets have already been sold nationwide, positioning the film for a massive ₹40–50 crore opening on January 23. Analysts expect the extended Republic Day weekend to give the film a major boost.

Trade analysts confirm a record-breaking response within the first few hours of pre-sales. The overwhelming demand has sparked predictions that Border 2 could become the biggest opener of 2026.
Overseas markets—especially Australia—are showing even stronger trends, outperforming mega releases like Dhurandhar and War 2 in advance bookings.
