Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has taken a different stand from the US and Canada on the alleged case of Indian spy, saying that such matters are raised privately and diplomatically. This statement comes at a time when the Quad summit is going to be held in the US this weekend, in which Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Albanese will also participate.

During his visit to the US, the Australian Prime Minister was questioned on the allegations related to the Indian spy. In response, Albanese clarified that he prefers to raise the issue at a private and diplomatic level rather than discussing it publicly. He said, I work diplomatically and have discussions privately. Undoubtedly, this matter will be raised, but the relationship between India and Australia is very strong.

This stance of Australia is different from America and Canada. Especially when the US and Canada have accused India of targeting its own citizens and interfering in the elections. In Canada, a judicial inquiry is also going on on this issue and a debate has started in Parliament. The Canadian security agency had accused India of interfering in the elections. However, Australia has taken a different stance from its Five Eyes alliance members (US, UK, Canada and New Zealand) in this matter. Let us tell you that Five Eyes is an intelligence partnership, whose members often cooperate in matters of national security. This comment of Prime Minister Albanese is being considered a positive sign for Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, especially at a time when he is on a US tour for the Quad summit. ( PLC & GT )
