A few hours later, Blinken reached Riyadh. A senior State Department official said on Sunday that the foreign minister will meet with Saudi officials and ministers regarding the future of Gaza.

According to the US State Department, in Saudi Arabia Blinken will attend the Gulf Cooperation Council ministerial meeting to advance coordination on regional security. It is being told that he will also attend the special meeting of the World Economic Forum on energy for global cooperation and development. During his April 29-May 1 visit to meet with America’s Arab partners, Blinken will discuss ongoing efforts for a ceasefire in Gaza. Apart from this, we will also talk about the recent increase in humanitarian aid being provided to Gaza.

Blinken will also talk about the release of prisoners, which is a wall between the Palestinian people and a ceasefire. Let us tell you that Israel has already told Hamas through Egyptian mediators that if the 33 prisoners are not released immediately, a ground attack will begin on the Rafah area in the South Gaza Strip. Israel has also said that if political discussions fail, its troops will enter the Rafah area.
