BJP Leaders Highlight Political Momentum After ‘Badlav Rally’ in Punjab
A major political rally organized by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) at Killi Chahal village in Moga district on Saturday has drawn significant attention in Punjab’s political circles.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah addressed the gathering, which party leaders described as a key moment in shaping the political discourse ahead of the 2027 Punjab Assembly elections.
National BJP leader and advocate Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal Bhukhri Kalan said the rally marked an important milestone in the party’s outreach efforts in the state.
Rally Reflects Growing Political Activity in Punjab
In a press statement issued on Saturday, Grewal expressed gratitude to Amit Shah for visiting Punjab and addressing what he described as a historic public rally.
He said the turnout of people from villages across the region suggested a growing interest in the BJP’s political agenda in the state.

According to Grewal, the rally demonstrated that the party’s organizational network is expanding beyond urban areas and reaching rural communities across Punjab.
Focus on Governance and Development
During the rally, Amit Shah spoke about several issues affecting the state, including drug abuse, organized crime, and unemployment.
Grewal said Shah’s speech outlined a vision centered on governance reforms, development initiatives, and stability for Punjab.
He noted that the address aimed to resonate with a wide range of groups, including youth, farmers, traders, and professionals, who are seeking improved opportunities and economic growth.
Emphasis on Social Harmony and Cultural Heritage
Grewal also highlighted Shah’s references to Punjab’s cultural and spiritual heritage during the rally.
According to the statement, the Home Minister spoke about the shared legacy of the Hindu and Sikh communities and emphasized unity and social harmony.
Shah also paid tribute to important historical and religious figures, including Guru Tegh Bahadur, Guru Gobind Singh, and the Sahibzadas, acknowledging their sacrifices and contributions to the region’s history.
BJP Strategy Ahead of 2027 Elections
From a political standpoint, Grewal said the rally reflected the BJP’s intention to expand its independent political presence in Punjab.
He suggested that the party is preparing to contest future elections with greater organizational strength across the state.
The remarks also indicated that traditional political alliances in the state could evolve as parties reassess their strategies ahead of the next assembly elections.
Reference to Lok Sabha Vote Share
Grewal pointed to the BJP’s vote share of around 19 percent in the last Lok Sabha elections, describing it as an indication of the party’s emerging base in Punjab.
He said the rally in Moga could be seen as part of a broader effort to build political momentum and strengthen the party’s grassroots network.
Large Participation From Across the State
Party leaders said thousands of BJP workers and supporters traveled from various districts of Punjab to participate in the rally.
Grewal thanked party members and citizens who attended the event, describing their participation as a reflection of growing engagement in political discussions across the state.
Outlook for Punjab’s Political Landscape
With discussions already taking place in villages, towns, and cities following the rally, BJP leaders believe the event has sparked new conversations about the state’s political future.
Grewal concluded by expressing appreciation for Amit Shah’s visit and for the participation of party workers and supporters who helped organize the event.
According to him, the rally at Killi Chahal has signaled increased political activity in Punjab as parties begin preparing for the upcoming electoral contests.
