India’s Union Home Minister Amit Shah launched a sharp political attack on West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee during a high-energy election rally in Purba Bardhaman on Saturday, asserting that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) would secure a decisive mandate in the state.
Addressing supporters, Shah claimed that the BJP would win 110 seats in the first phase of voting, predicting a major political shift in the state. He added that the party would celebrate victory by offering the traditional “Sita Bhog” to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
