One of India’s most popular OTT franchises is officially making its theatrical debut. Mirzapur is set to expand its violent, gritty universe with Mirzapur: The Movie, and the makers have now revealed the film’s release date.
Fans will be able to witness the legendary ‘bhaukaal’ of Kaleen Bhaiya and Guddu Pandit on the big screen when the film releases in theaters worldwide on September 4, 2026.

The film is produced by Excel Entertainment under the leadership of Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani.
Announcing the release date, the makers shared a striking poster on social media featuring speeding vehicles on a desert landscape, with a massive throne tied to a moving car—symbolizing power, chaos, and control. The caption read:
“Now witness the bhaukaal on the big screen. Mirzapur: The Movie releases in cinemas near you on September 4, 2026.”

Mirzapur first premiered as a web series in 2018 and quickly became a cultural phenomenon. The crime thriller gained massive popularity for its raw storytelling, intense action, and unforgettable dialogues.
