Mumbai | January 18, 2026

The box office saw another competitive weekend as ‘Dhurandhar’ continued its blockbuster run on Saturday. The film, which recently entered the ₹800-crore club, maintained its dominance despite new releases and ongoing competition from major titles.

‘Dhurandhar’ Shows Strong Weekend Growth

According to early estimates from Sacnilk, ‘Dhurandhar’ collected ₹2.56 crore on Saturday, marking its 44th day in theaters. The film earned ₹1.75 crore on Friday, showing a noticeable weekend jump.

With this, its total domestic box office collection has reached an impressive ₹820.91 crore. The film’s sustained momentum reaffirmed its status as one of the year’s most successful releases.

‘Dhurandhar 2’ Set for 2026 Release

Following the massive success of the film, the makers have officially announced its sequel.
‘Dhurandhar 2’ will release on March 19, 2026, with Ranveer Singh returning in the lead role. Many cast members from the first film are also expected to reprise their roles. Meanwhile, the first installment continues to perform strongly in theaters.

‘The Raja Saab’ Drops on Day 9

Despite early hype, Prabhas-starrer ‘The Raja Saab’ has witnessed a decline in collections within nine days of release.
The film earned ₹2.33 crore on Saturday, down from ₹3.5 crore on Friday.
Its total box office collection now stands at ₹136.08 crore, securing a place in the ₹100-crore club but facing stiff competition from ‘Dhurandhar.’

New Releases Fail to Impress

Two films released this weekend —

  • ‘Happy Patel: Khatarnaak Jasoos’ (Aamir Khan’s banner)

  • ‘Rahu Ketu’ (starring Pulkit Samrat and Varun Sharma)

— struggled to attract audiences.

‘Happy Patel: Khatarnaak Jasoos’ Underperforms

The film earned ₹1.25 crore on opening day but dropped to ₹94 lakh on Saturday, failing to capitalize on the weekend.
Its total collection stands at ₹2.19 crore.

Despite featuring Aamir Khan in an unconventional role and mixing humor with a 90s gangster storyline, the film failed to connect with viewers. The cast includes Veer Das, Mona Singh, Sharib Hashmi, Srishti Tawde, and Mithila Palkar.

‘Rahu Ketu’ Sees Mild Growth

‘Rahu Ketu’ showed slight improvement on Day 2, earning ₹1.13 crore, up from ₹1 crore on Friday.
Its total collection now stands at ₹2.13 crore.

  • The Raja Saab (Day 9): ₹2.33 crore
