According to media reports on Thursday, the US has redirected a warship stationed in the South China Sea toward Iranian waters, fueling concerns of a potential confrontation. Diplomatic sources in the Middle East say the situation has alarmed several regional governments. Egypt, Oman, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar—all key US partners—have launched urgent diplomatic outreach to both Washington and Tehran in an attempt to prevent further escalation. White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt stated that the administration had warned Iran of “serious consequences” if mass executions reportedly planned in the country were carried out. Meanwhile, India has begun evacuating its citizens from Iran, citing the worsening security environment.
