Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has accused the United States, Israel, and European countries of waging what he described as a “full-scale war” against Iran, amid escalating geopolitical tensions in the Middle East.
In an interview published on the official website of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, President Pezeshkian said that Western powers and Israel are working collectively to weaken Iran and prevent it from becoming self-reliant.
“In my view, we are in a complete war with the United States, Israel, and Europe. They do not want our country to stand on its own feet,” Pezeshkian stated.
Remarks Come Ahead of Key Trump–Netanyahu Meeting
The Iranian president’s comments come just ahead of a high-profile meeting between Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and US President Donald Trump, scheduled to take place on Monday. The meeting is expected to focus on regional security, Iran’s military capabilities, and ongoing conflicts in the Middle East.
Iran has closely monitored diplomatic engagements between Washington and Tel Aviv, viewing them as part of broader efforts to counter Tehran’s influence in the region.
Iran Claims Strengthened Military Capabilities
President Pezeshkian asserted that Iran’s armed forces are operating at full capacity and are stronger than ever, both in terms of weaponry and manpower.
“Our military forces are performing their duties with full strength. Compared to the past, we are now stronger in both numbers and equipment,” he said.
Iranian officials have repeatedly emphasized the country’s growing defense capabilities, especially amid sanctions and external pressure from Western nations.
Rising Regional Tensions
The remarks highlight increasing friction between Iran and Western powers, particularly as conflicts involving Israel continue to draw global attention. Tehran has accused the US and its allies of pursuing policies aimed at destabilizing Iran economically, politically, and militarily.
While Iran maintains that it seeks regional stability, it has consistently warned that it will respond firmly to any threats against its sovereignty.
Global Focus on Middle East Developments
With diplomatic engagements underway and rhetoric intensifying, international attention remains focused on whether ongoing talks and meetings can ease tensions or further deepen divisions in the region.
Analysts say the coming weeks will be crucial in determining the trajectory of relations between Iran, the United States, Israel, and European nations.
