New Delhi, India | November 25, 2025 :
The Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) is set to spearhead a nationwide campaign to promote indigenous goods through the Swadeshi Sankalp Rath Yatra, aligning with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call to “Sell Swadeshi, Buy Swadeshi.” A pivotal national traders’ conference is scheduled for November 25 in Delhi, drawing more than 100 trade leaders to finalize Rath Yatra plans.
The Rath Yatra has already commenced with one chariot entering Chhattisgarh via the Vidarbha region of Maharashtra, while two more will soon tour villages across Madhya Pradesh from December 1. Further Rath Yatras are planned across other states, aiming to generate employment and empower rural workers.
CAIT National General Secretary and BJP MP Praveen Khandelwal emphasized the conference’s importance in addressing current trade challenges, opening new business opportunities, and accelerating digitalization. Topics include the Goods and Services Tax, digital security, ease of doing business, and expansion into emerging markets, e-commerce, and MSME sectors.
Additionally, the conference will pave the way for the Grand National Women Entrepreneurs’ Conference in December to encourage women-led enterprises nationwide.
