CM Mamata Banerjee Slams PM Modi:
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has launched a sharp attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, accusing him of politicizing a natural disaster. In a strong statement, she said, “It’s extremely unfortunate that the Prime Minister didn’t wait for a proper investigation before making his comments.”

The fresh political storm erupted after PM Modi criticized the attack on BJP leaders in weather-affected areas of West Bengal, prompting CM Mamata to hit back on social media.

Mamata’s Response to PM Modi’s Post:

Nearly two hours after PM Modi’s X (Twitter) post, Mamata Banerjee responded with a detailed 386-word message, displaying a combative stance.
She stated that the state government and local administration are working tirelessly in the rain and flood-affected areas, organizing rescue and relief operations.

However, she accused the Prime Minister of making politically motivated allegations without “verified evidence, legal investigation, or administrative report.”
She added that such remarks represent “political vulgarity and a violation of constitutional values.”

Interestingly, Mamata Banerjee did not mention PM Modi’s name directly in her post, but her comments were clearly directed at him.

PM Modi’s Criticism of the TMC:

Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had criticized the Trinamool Congress (TMC) over an alleged attack on BJP MP Khagen Murmu and MLA Shankar Ghosh in West Bengal. Calling the incident “condemnable,” PM Modi said it raised serious concerns about the law and order situation in the state.

In his post, PM Modi accused the TMC of being “insensitive” and urged BJP workers to focus on helping the affected people.
He wrote, “I wish the West Bengal government and the TMC were engaged in helping people instead of inciting violence. I appeal to BJP workers to continue their service and assist in relief efforts.”

Political War of Words Continues:

This exchange marks yet another flashpoint in the ongoing rivalry between the Trinamool Congress and the BJP in West Bengal. Both sides have often clashed over governance, disaster response, and law-and-order issues.

While PM Modi accused the TMC of political insensitivity, Mamata Banerjee countered that the Centre’s attitude toward Bengal’s crises has always been biased and politically driven.

As the relief work continues in the affected regions, the political blame game between the Centre and the state appears to be intensifying.
