Addressing a public program at Hotel Taj under the theme “Developed Uttar Pradesh Vision 2047,” Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath highlighted the state’s development achievements and future goals. He spoke extensively on law and order, infrastructure, education, and investment policies.
CM’s Statement on Bareilly Violence
CM Yogi said the Maulana involved in Bareilly violence had forgotten who was in power.
“We did not impose curfews or blockades. Instead, we taught him a lesson in the language he understood… this is different from the pre-2017 era when lawlessness was rampant,” the CM said.
He criticized previous governments for fostering mafias in every district, extorting money, and mismanaging agriculture and employment.
Historical and Economic Perspective
CM Yogi traced India’s economic history, highlighting how the British plundered India and destroyed its industries, despite India once being a global economic hub. He praised India’s heritage, mentioning Takshashila University, Ayurveda, and ancient medical pioneers like Sushruta and Jivaka.
“I Built the Bulldozer for Such People”
The CM emphasized the government’s efforts to tackle societal misleaders:
“Those who divide society in the name of caste or religion are shown the bulldozer. Uttar Pradesh’s growth story is now a model for India.”
Infrastructure and Development Achievements
CM Yogi highlighted major developments in Uttar Pradesh since 2017:
55% of India’s expressways are now in UP
Metro rail operates in the largest number of cities
Airports increased from 2 to 16, with Gorakhpur flights expanded and Noida International Airport soon to be dedicated
“One District, One Medical College” and “One District, One Product” initiatives implemented
UP produces 55% of India’s mobile phones and electronic components
Economic and Investment Plans
CM Yogi outlined ambitious economic goals:
“This financial year, we aim to transform UP’s economy to ₹35 lakh crore. Per capita income has risen from ₹45,000 to ₹1.2 lakh. By 2047, Uttar Pradesh will be a six trillion-dollar economy.”
He also announced approval of 52 private universities and policies to attract further industrial and sectoral investments worth ₹20 lakh crore, ensuring rapid infrastructure, skill, and employment growth.
Focus on Citizen Participation
CM Yogi praised citizen involvement in shaping UP’s future through the Samarth UP portal, which has already received over six lakh suggestions from across the state.
“By 2047, a developed Uttar Pradesh should become our mantra, our resolve, and part of our daily routine,” he concluded.
