Snowfall on the mountains in 24 hours, heavy rain alert in the south

Winter has knocked in North India. Changes in the weather are visible since Diwali. On one hand, it is raining continuously in the southern states, while it is snowing on the mountains. According to the Meteorological Department (IMD), there may be rain with snow in the hilly areas of North India in the next few days. On the other hand, there is a possibility of continuous rain in the southern states for the next two days.

The Meteorological Department has told in its tweet that there is a possibility of light rain and snowfall in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan, Himachal Pradesh for the next two days. Due to this, cold weather is expected to increase in the area. There is a possibility of snowfall in Uttarakhand too. On the other hand, there is a possibility of rain in some areas of Punjab. According to the information received from the Meteorological Department, a cyclonic circulation lies over Kerala coast and adjoining southeast Arabian Sea.

Due to its impact, moderate to heavy rain and thundershowers are possible over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Kerala and Mahe in the next 24 hours. The Meteorological Department says that a cyclonic circulation lies over Kerala coast and adjoining southeast Arabian Sea. Due to this effect, there is a possibility of heavy rain in Andaman and Nicobar Islands till October 8.
