However, this time the RX100 is being given a bigger engine than before. In fact, Yamaha India President Ishin Chihana had said that the RX100 is making a comeback. According to him, the RX100 name has been preserved and has not been used on any other motorcycle so far. Now the company is preparing to bring back the iconic bike of its time.
It is expected that the new upcoming RX100 bike will be brought with a more powerful engine than before. At present, Yamaha has the famous Raider 125 model with 125 cc engine. At the same time, Yamaha’s 150 cc and 250 cc engine models are also well-liked. For this reason, it is expected that this upcoming bike of Yamaha can come between 125 cc to 250 cc range. With this engine, the RX100 will directly compete with Royal Enfield motorcycles.
The new RX 100 is expected to get an updated design along with the engine and its retro look. A modernized avatar of the RX 100 is expected to arrive after 2026 as the company is reportedly eyeing to introduce the first electric scooter by 2025.
