Kiev : Ukraine claims to have recaptured eight villages in its two-week counterattack, while Russia says it has pushed back Ukrainian forces in the south and east. Russia has also talked about taking possession of a tank made in France.
Eight villages snatched from Russian army – Hanna Maliar
Ukraine’s Minister of State for Defense Hanna Maliar has said that Ukrainian forces have recaptured eight villages from Russian forces in the Berdyansk and Melitopol regions. The Ukrainian army has taken these villages when the Russian army has been working for months to strengthen its position on the fronts, but still about 20 percent of Ukraine’s territory is under Russia’s occupation.

Russia blocks UN team from entering flood-hit area
