Haryana Education Minister, Mrs. Geeta Bhukkal said that common man has directly been benefited with the welfare and growth oriented policies and programmes of UPA Government.  Mrs. Bhukkal said that the visionary approach of UPA Chairperson Mrs. Sonia Gandhi and Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh had provided a new direction to ensure all round development and for the welfare of people belonging to all sections of society.
Commenting on the decision of the Central Government about Foreign Direct Investment in retail, she said that it would definitely be advantageous to the farmers and consumers. Only middle man and black marketers were protesting against this decision as their profits would cut and hence they were the ones who were misleading the common man. However, the people would gather in large number at the ensuing Congress rally on November 4 at Delhi to support all these welfare decisions of the Central Government. People from all over the state especially from Jhajjar would participate in this rally in large number. This rally would be biggest rally which would attract lakhs of people and prove the claims of the opposition wrong, she added. The Education Minister said that the policy decisions taken during the duration of UPA government at Centre like Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme, National Rural Health Mission, Rajiv Gandhi Vidhyutikaran Yojna, National Drinking Water Programme, National Horticulture Mission, Janani Suraksha Yojna, Right To Education, Right to Information, National Food Security Mission and waving off interest had greatly benefitted various sections of society including farmers, people belonging to Scheduled Castes families, villagers, women. She said that similarly, the decision taken by Haryana Government under the able leadership of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupinder Singh Hooda such as Mahatma Gandhi Grameen Basti Yojna, Indira Gandhi Drinking Water Scheme, waiving of electricity bills and loans, abolishing the black law to arrest farmers for nonpayment of cooperative loans, land  acquisition policy, sports policy, scholarship schemes to the students and promoting higher education among needy children had clearly reflected  the pro-poor and pro-farmer approach of the State Government.  Taking a dig at the opposition party, she said that the opposition had adopted cheap tactics for their vested interests. She said that the people had now become aware of the gimmicks of the opposition and would give a befitting reply to them by converging in large numbers in the Congress rally on November  4 at Delhi.
