Washington, November 14, 2025 — President  Donald Trump is intensifying diplomatic efforts to secure a historic normalization agreement between Israel and Saudi Arabia, ahead of a highly anticipated visit by the Saudi Crown Prince to the United States.

Trump, who has repeatedly vowed to restore American leadership in the Middle East, is reportedly prioritizing the expansion of the Abraham Accords, the 2020 framework that brought Israel closer to several Arab nations. Senior advisers say the upcoming meeting is designed to “fast-track a strategic breakthrough” between Jerusalem and Riyadh — a goal long sought by Washington.

A spokesperson for Trump’s transition team confirmed that the President-elect views a Saudi-Israel diplomatic opening as “central to long-term regional peace,” and intends to place it at the top of his early foreign-policy agenda.

The renewed push comes amid shifting regional dynamics, simmering security tensions, and growing cooperation between Gulf partners and Washington on defense and technology. Analysts say Trump is attempting to leverage his existing relationships with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Saudi leadership to shape what could become one of the most consequential geopolitical deals of the decade.

The Crown Prince’s visit — expected within weeks — will include closed-door discussions on defense guarantees, economic partnerships, energy coordination, and potential US incentives tied to the normalization framework.

Diplomats familiar with the process say both sides remain cautiously optimistic, although complex security guarantees, Palestinian issues, and regional pressure from Iran continue to pose significant hurdles.

Still, Trump’s team insists the window for progress is open. “The President-elect believes lasting peace in the Middle East begins with deepening strategic trust between Israel and Saudi Arabia,” one official noted.

If successful, the agreement would reshape Middle Eastern alliances, strengthen the US security footprint, and mark Trump’s biggest foreign-policy achievement even before taking office.
