The Raja Saab Records Significant Drop on Day 2
Superstar Prabhas’ horror-comedy film The Raja Saab saw a notable decline in box office collections on its second day, with early and estimated figures indicating a sharp fall compared to its opening day performance.
According to trade estimates, the film collected approximately ₹16.11 crore net in India on Day 2 (Friday, January 10, 2026) across all languages.
Day 2 India Net Collection (Estimated)
Total India Net: ₹16.11 crore
Telugu version: ₹14.5 crore
Hindi version: ₹1.4 crore
With this, the film’s total India net collection after two days stands at around ₹79.01 crore, including Thursday’s paid preview shows.
Worldwide Box Office Performance
Despite the domestic dip, The Raja Saab continues to perform strongly overseas. Trade sources indicate that the film’s worldwide gross collection is expected to cross ₹170 crore after two days.
Why Did Collections Drop on Day 2?
Trade analysts attribute the decline primarily to mixed reviews and average word-of-mouth, which affected footfalls during morning and afternoon shows.
Occupancy Trends
Telugu states: Average occupancy of 41.59% on Saturday
Hindi belt: Significantly lower occupancy at around 6.72%
The contrast highlights the film’s heavier dependence on Telugu-speaking markets.
Sunday Holds the Key for Box Office Recovery
Sunday is expected to be crucial for the film’s momentum. If The Raja Saab manages to show a solid jump, it could benefit significantly from the upcoming Sankranti holiday period, which traditionally boosts theatrical attendance in South India.
Trade circles believe the weekend trend will determine whether the film stabilizes or continues to decline in the coming weekdays.
