Senior bureaucrat Dharmendra takes oath as chairman, NDMC

Shri Dharmendra, Indian Administrative Service (1989 Batch – AGMUT cadre) officer took the oath of office as Chairman, New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) today.                                                        

Shri Arvind Kejriwal, Chief Minister – Delhi & Presiding Officer, NDMC administered the oath of faith and allegiance to the Constitution of India to Shri Dharmendra as Chairman, NDMC in a special meeting of the Council at Palika Kendra, New Delhi.

Prior to the appointment as Chairman, NDMC Shri Dharmendra was posted as Additional Secretary and Financial Advisor in Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, Government of India.

Shri Dharmendra succeeds Shri Naresh Kumar who in July, 2019 was transferred to Arunachal Pradesh as Chief Secretary. In meanwhile Chief Secretary of Delhi, Shri Vijay Kumar Dev was holding the additional charge as Chairperson of NDMC.
