The teaser of director Nitesh Tiwari’s much-anticipated epic “Ramayana: Part 1” was officially released on Friday, triggering an explosive response across social media platforms.
Ranbir Kapoor appears as Lord Ram in a calm and composed avatar, while Sai Pallavi’s portrayal of Sita has drawn praise for its grace and emotional depth. The teaser’s most striking moment, however, belongs to actor Yash, whose grand, VFX-heavy depiction of Raavan has quickly become a major talking point among fans.
The visual scale of the teaser highlights the film’s ambitious production values, with heavy reliance on advanced visual effects to recreate the mythological world. Adding to the scale is the film’s music, jointly composed by Oscar winners A.R. Rahman and Hans Zimmer, marking a rare and high-profile collaboration.
Within just four hours of its release, the teaser crossed 50 million views, setting a new benchmark for Indian cinema trailers. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh described the project as “the future of Indian cinema,” reflecting the strong early industry response.
“Ramayana: Part 1” is positioned as the first installment of a planned cinematic saga and is expected to be one of the biggest Indian film releases in recent years. Further details regarding the film’s release schedule are awaited.
