The Punjab Education Minister S. Sikandar Singh Maluka today announced the TRANSFER POLICY-2014-15 of the Education Department Punjab.
In a statement issued here today, the Minister said that the interested teaching and non-teaching staff can submit their requests for transfers to the DEOs concerned through proper channel by May 26, so that the transfer process could be completed within a stipulated time frame. He also informed that the lists of vacant stations have already been uploaded on the education department website and the website of the district education officers. Transfer requests for inter district levels would be sought in the second phase.
Adding further, the Minister said that it was mandatory for the applicant to complete at least three years stay in the existing school before applying for transfer. Making it further clear Mr. Malluka said that the bare minimum transfers would be ordered that too based on the requirement of the schools. The transfers he said would be allowed only at vacant posts.
The Education Minister categorically said the transfers should be strictly as per the transfer policy. He said that the unmarried girls and widows should be given priority and efforts should be made to adjust them to nearest stations. Besides this, he said that the opportunity to these categories would be done only once as per the rules. He also said that the teachers of Rashtriya Madhyamik Sikhya Abhiyan (RAMSA) seeking transfers would be adjusted only in the schools under RAMSA.
